Privacy notice

Updated 30 September 2026. This notice covers the institutional website in preparation and planned editorial processing. Editorial and data requests: editorial.ijhep@gmail.com. Editorial lead: Diogo Nunes Melo. The legal identity of the data controller and portal providers will be disclosed before activation; the editor-in-chief role does not itself establish controller identity.

The institutional site does not accept manuscripts or payments. Voluntary emails are used to answer and follow up enquiries. Hosting infrastructure may process technical logs such as IP addresses, access times and browser details for delivery and security. The current site code does not embed advertising or audience analytics or set tracking cookies.

When activated, the portal may process registration, affiliations, optional identifiers, files, reviews, decisions, declarations and billing records solely for necessary editorial purposes. Patient data must be anonymised and sensitive records must not be sent through public channels.

Purposes include enquiries, editorial management, publication, DOI registration, preservation, certification and legal obligations. Applicable grounds may include contractual procedures, legal obligations, appropriately assessed legitimate interests and specific consent where required. The publication agreement is not blanket consent for all data use.

Private files are accessible only according to editorial roles. Public article metadata may be deposited with contracted services. Hosting and email may involve processing outside Brazil; actual providers and applicable transfer safeguards must be documented before the portal opens. Personal data will not be sold.

Private records are retained only as necessary for their purpose and applicable obligations, with periodic review and secure disposal. Portal retention schedules will be established before collection. Published articles and metadata form a permanent scientific record, subject to corrections and legal requirements.

Individuals may request confirmation, access, correction and, where applicable, deletion, anonymisation, sharing information and withdrawal of consent. Requests are free and may require proportionate identity checks. Legal retention grounds may limit deletion. Complaints may also be addressed to ANPD.

Before submissions open, this notice will identify the controller, contracted services, retention schedule and security measures actually implemented. Material updates will be dated on this page.
